Idea 2
Rosemary hair tonic
Rosemary has been used since ancient times in aromatic bath waters and hair care, famous for adding shine and a feeling of a revitalized scalp. The physics is simple: the hot infusion extracts the essential oils and antioxidants from the herb, and applying it to the scalp stimulates local circulation, helping balance oiliness.
What you need
- 2 fresh rosemary sprigs (or 2 tablespoons of dried)
- 500 ml of distilled water, or boiled and cooled water
- Small saucepan
- Clean glass jar
- Spray bottle or bottle with an applicator nozzle
How to make it
-
1
Boil the water and turn off the heat before adding the rosemary — boiling the herb burns the compounds you want to extract.
-
2
Cover the saucepan and let it steep for 20 minutes, so the heat extracts the oils and aroma without everything evaporating.
-
3
Strain well and let it cool completely before storing, because too much heat speeds up contamination.
-
4
Transfer to the spray bottle and store in the refrigerator, since water is the favorite environment of fungi and bacteria.
-
5
Spray onto the scalp and lengths after washing, massaging with your fingertips for a few minutes.
Finishing touches
Since it has no preservative, make small batches and use within a week — you can keep it in the refrigerator in a dark bottle. For an extra touch of shine, add a teaspoon of apple cider vinegar at the time of application.
