Denim upholstery was standard on workbenches and bar stools for decades, because the fabric withstands friction and doesn't fade easily. Modern industrial design today brings this back: visible denim with thick stitching is a café and loft aesthetic. Homemade painting paint
The eggshell is basically calcium carbonate, the same mineral that for centuries has served as a white "filler" in paints and plasters, as in the tradition of gesso and old wall plaster. When ground very fine and mixed with a binder diluted glue, it becomes a matte, good-coverage paint that applies naturally over paper, wood and clay walls.
