Cable protector and organizer
In electronics workshops, technicians have always wrapped tape and fabric around wires to keep the insulation from cracking with constant bending. The cotton sock works by the same principle: it absorbs friction and distributes tension, protecting the cable from aggressive bends that break it from the inside.
- A sock with a hole preferably cotton, without overly large holes
- Scissors
- Electrical tape or a piece of elastic
Seat or stool covering
Denim upholstery was standard on workbenches and bar stools for decades, because the fabric withstands friction and doesn't fade easily. Modern industrial design today brings this back: visible denim with thick stitching is a café and loft aesthetic. And there's simple preservation chemistry: candle wax rubbed into the fabric makes it slightly water-repellent, an old technique of field workers.
- The widest region of the jeans the hips
- Upholstery stapler or tacks and hammer, or strong fabric glue
- New foam or the bench's old foam, if it's still in good shape
Donation for parts
Workshops and technical schools have always lived on donated devices: a phone that no longer turns on holds a screen, cameras, tiny screws and boards that still work. Before thinking about repairing it, you need to understand the structure: a swollen battery is an internal pressure problem — the gas released by chemical degradation pushes the casing from the inside out.
- The iPhone with the swollen battery
- A sturdy, non-flammable box or container a metal tin, ceramic pot
- Wide adhesive tape masking tape or packing tape
Grow rosemary and aloe vera
Rosemary is a Mediterranean shrub that stores essential oils in its leaves — that's why it withstands sun and drought, and that's why it is beloved in hair rinses. Aloe vera is a succulent whose leaves store gel full of water and mucilage, that viscous substance that hydrates and forms a protective film over hair and scalp.

- Regular soil mixed with coarse sand or perlite half and half to ensure drainage
